Locations:
CDGS is chartered through Little League Illinois District 13 which allows diversity in the competition and ballparks visited. This does require some travel to the parks within the district and locations can be found here.
The benefit of Little League occurs when the players:
(1) Experience the different park environments from fields with lights, clay, varying dugout configurations, etc. to field that have been in existence from 2 to more than 35 years
(2) Experience different league cultures and players, but also learn how to respect those differences and play with sportswomanship
(3) Get to enjoy the butterflies on the way to the park and the anticipation of the new experiences to come.
Illinois District 13 is the largest District in Illinois with 10 Chartered Softball Leagues. See map here.
Note: Little League charters can have both baseball/softball or just one or the other. Crystal Lake, Hanover Park and Woodstock typically do not have softball teams, so travel to those cities generally does not occur.
