2026 Winter Clinics

February 7–8 | Held at HBT

CDGS is excited to host our 2026 Winter Softball Clinics, a two-day instructional program designed to help young athletes build confidence, learn fundamentals, improve their skills, and—most importantly—have fun! Both clinics will be led by our Rockets Fastpitch Travel Team players and coaching staff, who serve as outstanding role models for our youngest athletes.

LEVEL 1 CLINIC

T-Ball & Minor B Division

Ages: 4–7, plus 8-year-olds with little to no prior softball experience

Time: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM (both days)

Location: HBT

Led By: Rockets Coaching Staff + Rockets 10U Fastpitch Team

Fee: $45 (includes 2-day clinic + CDGS Clinic T-Shirt)

Clinic Overview

This beginner-focused clinic is perfect for young athletes new to the game.

Skills Covered:

Hitting fundamentals (first half of each session)

Throwing & fielding basics (second half of each session)

Each day will end with a short team bonding game to help the girls build friendships and confidence in a fun environment.

LEVEL 2 CLINIC

Minor A Division

Ages: 8–10, plus 11-year-olds with little to no prior softball experience

Time: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (both days)

Location: HBT

Led By: Rockets Coaching Staff + Rockets 12U Fastpitch Team

Fee: $45 (includes 2-day clinic + CDGS Clinic T-Shirt)

Clinic Overview

Designed for athletes with developing skills or transitioning into more competitive play.

Skills Covered:

Hitting mechanics and improvement (first half of each session)

Throwing & fielding technique (second half of each session)

Each day will end with a short team bonding game to help the girls build friendships and confidence in a fun environment.

ALL LEVELS SKILLS CLINIC

CDGS is excited to offer a 2-day all-ages Skills Development Clinic designed for CDGS players Minor B through Juniors. This flexible clinic format allows players to choose the skill they want to focus on each day, ensuring personalized development and a fun, positive learning environment.

Time: 1:00–3:00 PM

Location: CHS Gym

Led By: CDGS Coaches

Fee: $45 (Includes BOTH clinic dates + CDGS Clinic T-Shirt)

Designed For: Minor B, Minor A, Majors, and Juniors players

Beginner Pitching Designed for younger Minor B players with little to no prior pitching experience. *Note each player must have a parent/guardian/older sibling present to catch for them*

1:55–2:00 PM: Water Break

2:00–2:45 PM: Session 2 (Choose Your Skill)

2:45–3:00 PM: Short team bonding game to help the girls build friendships, confidence, and teamwork in a fun environment

2026 Spring & Summer Little League

Welcome to the Central District Girls Softball (CDGS) registration page for the Spring/Summer 2026 season! Please review the following information carefully to ensure a smooth registration process for your player.

Player Divisions & Registration

Under each division below, you will find a "Show Details" drop-down. Click this to view detailed information about the division and register your player accordingly.

Draft and Team Assignments

A player draft will take place at the end of March to finalize team rosters.
Team assignments will be communicated to families during the last week of March.

Eligibility Guidelines

Residency Requirements

Players league age 8 and older must meet residency eligibility guidelines to play with CDGS. To qualify:

Your home address or the school your player attends must fall within CDGS league boundaries.

If you fall outside of the league boundaries but would like to play with CDGS, please contact the CDGS Player Agent at [email protected] to discuss potential waivers or exceptions.

League Age 4-7 Eligibility

Players league age 4-7 may register in any Little League program of their choice, without respect to geographic or school-based eligibility requirements.

If an older sibling (league age 8 or older) has a younger sibling (league age 4-7) who has chosen a League of Choice, the older sibling is also eligible to join that league.

Player Age

Little League uses "League Age" to determine division eligibility. Your player’s "League Age" is their age as of January 1, 2026. Use the following tool to calculate your player’s League Age:

To complete registration, every player must provide the following:

Volunteer Requirement – 6 Hours

CDGS is a 100% volunteer-run organization, which means that beyond registration fees, we rely heavily on the support of our families to operate the league smoothly. We are not backed by any outside organization or park district so your involvement helps keep fees affordable and fosters a stronger sense of community within our league.

Each family (regardless of the number of players) is required to volunteer a minimum of 6 hours during the season. These shifts can be completed by any family member, including siblings age 15 and older, grandparents, ect.

To ensure fairness and accountability, we will track hours using SignUp Genius. There are many opportunities to fulfill your hours:

The Volunteer Security Deposit will be paid in the form of a postdated check for $150 dated 6/30/2026. Once the obligation is met, you will receive notification that your hours are complete, and your check will be destroyed. If you wish to have your check returned to you, please indicate that on the Volunteer Form. If you prefer to not volunteer, you may indicate so on the form and your check will be immediately deposited (you cannot provide a postdated check with this option). You will receive a copy of the volunteer form in your registration confirmation and you may either bring the form along with the check to uniform pick up or it can be mail to CDGS at 202 S Randall Rd Unit B #5304 Elgin, IL 60123.

After Uniforms Order Placed: 50% Refund
