CDGS is a 100% volunteer-run organization. Beyond registration fees, we rely heavily on the support of our families to keep the league running smoothly. Your involvement helps maintain affordable fees and strengthens our CDGS community.

Each family (regardless of number of players) is required to volunteer for 6 Hours during the season and provide a Volunteer Security Deposit separate from Registration. Hours may be completed by any family member age 15 or older (siblings, grandparents, etc.).

To ensure fairness, volunteer hours will be tracked using SignUp Genius. CDGS’s goal is not to collect your deposit—we need your time to help the season run efficiently. Without volunteer participation, outside help would be required, increasing fees for all families.

A Volunteer Security Deposit will be paid in the form of a postdated check, for $150  CDGS. Once the obligation is met, you will receive notification that your hours are complete, and your check will be destroyed. If you wish to have your check returned to you, please indicate on the Volunteer form. If you prefer to not volunteer, you may indicate so on the form and your check will be immediately deposited (you cannot provide a postdated check with this option).
